Do I need to pay a deposit?
A deposit will secure your order in our diary; this can easily and safely be paid online. The amount depends not he order type and size.
I have sent an enquiry in, how soon should I expect a reply?
Please allow 3-4 days to receive a reply as there are only two of us and our main office days are Monday-Wednesday; thank you in advance for your patience.
Do check your spam/junk mail folder in case our reply ends up there!
How much does a cake cost?
This is very dependent on your requirements as cost is determined on size and decoration so varies between orders. Serving sizes are approximate as it does very much depend on how large a slice you would like! The best place to get an idea is to browse our Copper Kitchen Classics. Any bespoke designs would be more costly than these, however it is totally dependent on the complexity of the design.
How should I transport and store my cake?
The following advice should be followed when transporting a cake to your celebration;
-
Always travel with the cake on a flat surface, e.g. the boot or footwell. Seats are not a good idea as they are slanted.
-
When picking up and carrying the cake it is important to hold it underneath/at the base of the box and not the sides.
-
When driving with a cake I would recommend taking corners very carefully/slowly so not to tip the cake.
-
Ideally a buttercream iced cake should be stored in the fridge until displayed whereas a fondant iced cake should be stored somewhere cool (not in the fridge though as this is too cold!)
I have a special dietary requirement - can you cater for this?
All special dietary requirements can be catered for including vegetarian, vegan and gluten free. If you have an allergy please state this on your enquiry form. Whilst we take every measure to prevent contamination and produce items that are allergen free, we are a kitchen that handles nuts/allergens so cannot fully guarantee free from.
Do you have any recommendations for other local wedding suppliers?
Yes! Through wedding fairs, networking and working with them, I have met a variety of amazing suppliers within the industry so whether you are looking for your wedding dress, photographer, cake topper or more I have a list of recommendations here.
